Preparation for Mt. Shasta & Novato

Preparing for Mt. Shasta and Novato (Anuradha’s center)

What to Bring with you to California

Natural medicines suggested to bring:

  • Product for nausea transportation (If you are sensitive)
  • Vitamin C 1000mg per day, keep your immune system very alert!

What to put in your suitcase (Pease try to bring only one suitecase & one carry-on):

  • Comfortable clothes for the morning sessions, for hiking, for the beach, and dress for evenings under the stars
  • Essential oils to ward off mosquitoes (or chemical)
  • Natural Sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat
  • Sandals and good walking shoes
  • Bathing suit and a beach towel
  • Shampoo and conditioner (if you have a brand you prefer)
  • Bring a warm sweater and a pair of warm socks because some evenings at Mt Shasta can be quite cold (ex: 15 C +)
  • Raincoat (a cheap one is fine)
  • Small backpack for day travel: to bring your water, camera and lunch when we eat up in the mountains.
  • Your Japa Mala (for those who came to India with me, otherwise I will have available japa mala to purchase for $5.00 each, for the Bhakti Yoga session)
  • A good book to read (if we have free time ☺)
  • A travel journal
  • Your camera (we all share the photos upon our return)

Pocket money:

I advise you to bring a little pocket money for trips because we will stop in the small village of Mount Shasta (there are excellent esoteric shops there). So $200 to $400 should be good enough for your personal purchases. Also, always bring a credit card as it is handy when traveling.

Travel insurance:

I advise that people purchase travel insurance, but it is optional. I advise you to check with the credit card with which you purchased your ticket, as insurance is often included for travel (or for your work).

A FEW DAYS BEFORE DEPARTURE, I WILL ADVISE YOU OF THE ANTICIPATED WEATHER FORECAST SO THAT YOU CAN BETTER PREPARE.
